What Matters To Us?
Have you ever wondered what things really matter and don’t matter? Here are a few things that do, and don’t. First, age doesn’t matter. Have you ever been scared of doing something because you were too young? You have to know that age doesn’t matter. As young as you are, God can use you!
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young.” –1 Timothy 4:12a
Even the Bible is clearly telling us that God can use anyone. No matter how young they are. So, don’t be afraid of doing something no matter how young you are.
Next, how you live matters. We are examples and influences to people around us.
“Set an example for the believers in what you say and how you live.” –1 Timothy 4:12b
We must be good examples to others by reading our Bible, praying, and doing good deeds. There are so many ways to be a good example.
Last but not least, God’s word matters. It’s very good to read your Bible. It contains truths, promises, and how to live.
“Until I come, spend your time reading scriptures out loud to one another. Spend your time preaching and teaching.” –1 Timothy 4:13
While reading the Bible, it is also good to apply what you have learned while preaching and teaching it to other people also.
We should not be afraid no matter how young we are because God uses everyone. We are examples and influences to other people around us, so we should be a good example, not a bad one. We should read our Bible, while learning from it and teaching and preaching to others.
So, how do we practice these? We should read God’s word, do it, and obey what it says. Always remember what really matters.
