Give Your Best
Hey guys! In this blog, I’m gonna be talking about giving your best in all you do, so that God can be glorified.
Let’s start with a Bible verse.
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. –Colossians 3:23 (NLT)
It says here that when we do something, we must do it for God, not for men. I call it ‘Audience of One.’ Whether you’re in a gargantuan theater filled with a large crowd or a small room with your loved ones, do everything for God.
This also has to do with, you guessed it: school. For example, if your friends are calling you to play but you still have an assignment, don’t think, ‘Oh, I have to study hard because my parents keep on telling me. Even though I want to play.’ Remember when the Bible verse said “Work willingly”? Yes, you have to do it willingly! Giving your best also includes really wanting to do it. ‘Why would we want to do it that bad?’, you may ask.
Because it glorifies God. Do EVERYTHING for the glory of God.
Now, let’s discuss the part where it says, ‘rather than for people.’ In other versions, ‘not for men.’ Men, meaning your friends, your teachers, and literally all the people of the world.
And even if you don’t do well but give your best, He will still be glorified and happy because He knows how much effort you put into it.
